Amanda Tucker – Owner

Amanda started riding at the age of 3 in Shedfield, England. After gaining a solid childhood foundation of pony club events, egg and spoon races and country side hacks, her family moved to Germany. There she spent 6 years in Hessen riding haflingers, all manner of ponies, driving Belgian Warmbloods & Norika Coldbloods, and was gifted her first Pony – Joyce, a boarderline crazy hackney x jumping pony.

Joyce and Amanda Competed in Pony competitions in both Germany and England. In 1999 she sold her beloved pony and moved to Michigan, where she ventured into the world of western riding with Zip – her Quarter Horse. Team penning around Michigan until college, she moved back to the UK. In college she competed on the University Of Bangor Riding team. Riding a plethora of horses around the UK and riding under the tutelage of Sian Fernandez Thomas BHSI, a British Horse Society Level 3 International instructor.

After college, she managed Rivendell, a large Hunter/Jumper barn, in Michigan and became a licensed Veterinary technician, working at Thorn-wood Equine and then the Animal Emergency Hospital.

Now Amanda is located in Lexington, KY and is living her dream at Tucker-English farm. She competed in 2019 at to coveted Retired Racehorse Project at the Iconic Kentucky Horse Park. She now has her eyes set on moving up the levels with her talented OTTB.

Amandas passion is sharing her love of horses with her daughters – Sophia (9) and Grace (7) and their friends. Having grown up being taught the “Pony Club Way” Amanda appreciates the responsibility, moral judgment, leadership, and self-confidence that Pony Club brings. Amanda specializes in teaching beginners, building confidence and a love of all things equestrian.
